Preview AM

You can now preview 30 seconds of each track on Arctic Monkey's forthcoming fifth album, AM, below. The album is released on 9th September.

Arcade Fire To Unveil New Album

Arcade Fire will be unveiling the details of their new album on September 9th at 9pm (I imagine that's not UK time, so we can expect details in the early morning of the 10th). The album's release date is October 29th, and is rumoured to be titled Reflektor, which is a word that has been appearing mysteriously around the world (Arcade Fire are confirmed to be behind it). Lastly, if you go onto Spotify and search Arcade Fire, you will be able to hear a 15-second clip titled "9pm 9/9" - it doesn't really give much away though.

Coldplay To Release New Song

Coldplay are releasing a new single, Atlas, which is part of the soundtrack for the film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The song will be available from the 26th August. It is assumed that this has nothing to do with their sixth album, which has been in the works for a few months.

The lyrics were also revealed:

Some saw the sun
Some saw the smoke
Some heard the gun
Some bent the bow
Sometimes the wire must tense for the note
Caught in the fire, say oh
We're about to explode
Carry your world, I'll carry your world

Some far away
Some search for gold
Some dragon to slay
Heaven we hope is just up the road
Show me the way, Lord, because I
I'm about to explode
Carry your world, I'll carry your world
Carry your world and all your hurt

White Lies Revealing New Album Clips

White Lies are uploading 90-second clips of their new album over the next week, before the full release on August 12th. Every day, a new song will get the treatment. Friday saw track 1's sample - Big TV - and yesterday saw track 2 - There Goes Our Love Again. Obviously, the latter has already been released as a single, so they just linked to the full track. Today should see First Time Caller, assuming that they're doing it in tracklist order and they're not counting the "Space" interludes - as they are under 90 seconds in length! Either way, check here in the evenings over the next week to hear the clips.
